Dilatometer /Pressure meter Testing The purpose of conducting dilatometer tests is to estimate dynamic deformation characteristics at pre-selected borehole locations where the dilatometer tool is installed. PROCEDURE Prior to Dilatometer testing the tool will be calibrated for exact pressure and volume readings. The Dilatometer will be lowered to the deepest test section within the borehole. After completion of the test the tool will be moved upward to the next test position. This procedure will be repeated until all borehole section will be tested. Dilatometer tests are conducted at various depths in a bore hole to get a good picture of permeability / conductivity variations with depth.
